  2. 2-3 Onions thinly sliced
  3. 3-4 tbsp Oil
  4. 1/2 cup Green Peas

  7. 2 cups beaten Curd
  8. 1 tsp Garam Masala
  9. 2 tbsp Ginger garlic paste
  10. 1 tsp Turmeric powder
  11. 2 tsp Red Chilli powder
  12. 1 tsp Caraway Seeds
  13. 2-3 Green Cardamoms
  14. 2 sticks Cinnamon
  15. 5-6 Cloves
  16. 8-10 Black Peppercorns slightly crushed
  17. 8-10 Eggs

Steps to make to make Hyderabadi Ande Ki Tahari

  1. Soak rice for 30 minutes or little more than that. Use clean drinking water for doing so. In a big cooking pot, heat Oil and add all the whole spices. Meanwhile boil Eggs and make 3-4 cuts on it from all the sides. Set aside.
  2. Now add the Onions and saute until translucent. Also add boiled Eggs to it. Saute them until a bit crisp on the outside. Take them out onto a plate. Set aside until use. Next add, the chopped Tomatoes and the spices one by one. Cover and cook until they are mushy and soft. Also add the beaten Curd as well as the Green Peas. Saute until the raw smell fades away. Add the soaked and drained Rice to the boiling water. Mix well. Adjust Salt at this stage. Garnish with chopped Coriander Leaves too. Cook on a high heat at first for about 5 minutes. Then lower the heat and cover with a lid.
  4. In between, keep checking and stir very carefully without breaking the grains. After almost 20 minutes, it will be done. Fluff it up. Place Eggs on top. Cover and let it heat up for about 5-6 minutes before taking it off the heat. Enjoy with any of your favourite Raita and Salad. Yum!
